Each year in the heart of a New England winter, Laconia hosts the World Championship Sled Dog Derby. Held in early or mid February, this world class ISDRA sanctioned event competes race teams for three days on a rigorous sixteen mile course over the lakes and into the woods. Dubbed as the greatest show on snow, the sled dog derby makes for a different, entertaining and exciting way to spend an afternoon with the family.
Come join in on the fun! The event is assembled by the Lakes Region Sled Dog Club and couldn't take place without the support of the city of Laconia and local businesses.
